A 21-year-old Maldivian student has died following a fatal car accident in Malaysia.

Adhadhu has learned that the victim was from Hithadhoo, Addu City.

The accident occurred following a collision between two cars. The victim was a passenger in one of the cars.

Sources said that the hospital confirmed the woman was already deceased upon arrival.

Photos of the scene obtained by Adhadhu show one of the cars overturned. The second vehicle also sustained heavy damage.

However, it is reported that the driver and the other passenger in the car did not sustain any serious injuries.
