The Housing Ministry has announced that the list of recipients for land plots and flats under the government’s "Housing for All" policy will be publicized in December.
Speaking on state broadcaster PSM’s Raajje Miadhu program, State Minister for Housing Ahmed Nazim stated that, in accordance with President Mohamed Muizzu’s decision, the evaluation of applicants is nearing completion, and the final list of beneficiaries is scheduled for release this coming December.
"The President has decided to verify 58,000 forms with the aim of announcing the permanent list in December this year. This means the schedule is set to publicize the list of individuals who will receive flats or land plots by December," he said.
Nazim further explained that the evaluation process focuses on verifying the authenticity of the information provided in the applications. He noted that if any discrepancies are found, applicants are being notified and are required to provide clarification within a seven-day period.

Under the Family Housing Program, a total of 15,000 land plots and 7,900 flats are set to be allocated. The land plots will be issued from Rasmalé, while the flats will be located in Hulhumalé.
Land plots under the Family Housing Program, measuring 1,250 square feet each, are designated for registered residents of Malé and individuals from other islands who have resided in the capital for at least 15 years.
The scheme allocates 10,000 plots for Malé residents, 3,000 plots for residents from other islands living in Malé, and 500 plots for those deprived of property ownership due to family circumstances. Additionally, 1,500 plots are reserved for individuals living in narrow alleys or on land that is difficult to develop.
The flat allocations include 4,000 units for Malé residents, 1,500 units for non-registered residents living in Malé, and 2,400 units for special priority categories.
These priority categories encompass employees of various government offices, the Maldives Police Service, the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), the Maldives Correctional Service, and other state institutions.
