The Attorney General’s Office (AG), in collaboration with the European Union (EU), has launched a public awareness campaign titled "Knowledge is Power" aimed at increasing legal literacy among citizens.
Conducted under the AIM Project, the campaign seeks to provide the public with easy access to legal information and to familiarize citizens with the country's laws.
The initiative further aims to ensure that every citizen clearly understands their rights and responsibilities, empowering them to make informed and confident decisions in various aspects of their lives.
According to the AG Office, the campaign will utilize social media platforms alongside direct public engagement activities and outreach events across the Maldives to disseminate information.
"Through these activities, essential legal information relevant to daily life will be delivered to the public in an easily accessible and understandable manner," the AG Office stated.
The AG Office emphasized that raising public awareness is a top priority in its efforts to bolster public confidence in the legal system and to uphold the rule of law.
