Mohamed Firzul has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Maldives Hajj Corporation today.

The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) announced Firzul’s appointment to the Board of Directors and his designation as Managing Director in a social media post.

The position of Managing Director at the Hajj Corporation became vacant following the appointment of the former head, Mohamed Shakeel, as a member of the Elections Commission (EC).

Firzul, who previously served as the spokesperson for the current administration’s transitional office, had been serving as an Under Secretary at the President's Office until this appointment.
