Dhivehi Investment Nafa Fund (DHINAF), the first investment fund in the Maldives dedicated to short-term investments, has launched a new MVR 40 million tranche (DHINAF-48).

The subscription for DHINAF’s initial MVR 20 million tranche has been fully completed.

DHINAF is an open-ended investment fund registered with the Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA). It operates as a collective investment scheme that pools capital from multiple investors to be managed by professional experts. Targeting institutional and sophisticated investors, the fund offers competitive returns through private investments and aims to facilitate the expansion of the private capital market in the Maldives.

Dhivehi Investment Partners (DIP), the fund’s manager, said that the successful completion of the initial MVR 20 million tranche reflects the growing demand for diverse investment opportunities among Maldivian institutions and qualified investors.

The company further noted increasing investor confidence in professionally managed funds that provide access to high-yield sectors which are typically difficult to enter individually.

DHINAF invests in projects with durations of less than five years across tourism, real estate, infrastructure, and trade finance. By pooling investor funds, the scheme allows participants to engage in large-scale projects with smaller individual investments while mitigating risk through sectoral diversification.

Since its inception, the fund has consistently outperformed its benchmark (365-day Treasury Bill rate + 10 percent, totaling 14.6 percent per annum). To date, all dividend payments to investors have been disbursed on schedule.

Investment opportunities under the newly launched MVR 40 million tranche are as follows:

  • 6-month term: 10.50% per annum
  • 12-month term: 11.00% per annum
  • 2-year term: 11.50% per annum
  • 3-year term: 12.00% per annum
  • 4-year term: 12.25% per annum

While this new tranche extends DHINAF’s duration to four years, DIP noted that rates for future tranches are subject to change.

The opportunity to participate in this new tranche has been open to institutional and eligible investors from June 24. The minimum investment amount is set at MVR 50,000. Interested parties can register by contacting info@dip.mv or info@dhinaf.com.
