The Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has announced its service hours for the upcoming Eid al-Adha holidays.
The schedule aligns with the guidelines set by the central bank, Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA), for banking operations during government holidays.
Despite the government holiday extending from May 24 to 30, MIB branches will open on Thursday, May 28, to provide essential banking services to customers. On this day, the bank will be open from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.
MIB has also established deadlines for customers seeking Telegraphic Transfer (TT) services for foreign currency remittances. The bank stated that the deadline for submitting TT requests on Thursday is 1:00 pm. The bank urged customers planning financial transactions during the holidays to be mindful of these timings.
As a bank that provides an extensive range of digital services, MIB highlighted that many services will remain available online even while physical branches are closed. Customers can open new accounts and register for internet banking without the need to visit a branch.
Additionally, customers can conveniently request TT services through the FaisaMobile and FaisaNet platforms. The bank also informed that applications for various financing and other services can be submitted throughout the holidays via MIB’s "ApplyNow" portal.
ATM services for cash withdrawals and deposits will remain available 24 hours a day throughout the Eid holidays.
