President Mohamed Muizzu will leave for Germany next week with a 22-member delegation for a two-day trip to deliver a speech at a university.
A senior government official told Adhadhu that Muizzu is expected to depart on Monday (February 9). He will arrive in Germany on Tuesday (February 10) and will return to the Maldives on Thursday (February 12).
This means Muizzu is scheduled to spend two days in Germany. But a large delegation of 22 officials is scheduled to accompany him for the short period.
The government has not yet announced whether Muizzu is scheduled to visit Germany. But the Humboldt University of Berlin has announced that Muizzu is scheduled to deliver a speech on Wednesday (February 11).
Muizzu will speak on the topic "Climate Change Without Borders: Lessons from the Maldives’ Adaptation Experience."
The speech will focus on the Maldives' approach to climate change adaptation and the important lessons for the international community.
