Male' Maldives: Dhivehi Sifainge Club (DSC) has once again proven their dominance in women’s futsal, defeating MPL 4-2 in a thrilling final to lift the 2025 Club Maldives Eighteen Thirty Women’s Futsal Championship.
This marks the club’s fourth title, equaling the all-time record held by Club Immigration.
The much-anticipated final, played with intensity and flair, saw DSC take control early, with Maryam Rifa netting two goals. Rifa finished as the tournament's top scorer, with five goals to her name. Iranian forward Zahra Gholizadeh also found the net twice and was deservedly named Queen of the Match for her impactful performance.
MPL fought hard to stay in contention, with Fathimath Joozan Zareer and Farah Ahmed scoring their goals. However, DSC’s clinical finishing and tight defensive control proved too much to overcome.
This title win is DSC’s first since 2022, when they also beat MPL in the final. Their earlier championship victories came in 2013 and 2014, now placing them shoulder-to-shoulder with Club Immigration, who dominated earlier editions with titles in 2010, 2011, 2015, and 2016.
DSC’s Maeesha Abdul Hannaan was honored with the Queen of Futsal award for her all-around excellence throughout the tournament. She was joined in the Top 5 Players list by teammates Rifa and Zahra, along with Farah Ahmed and Fathimath Inaasha from MPL.
The tactical brilliance behind DSC’s campaign earned Ali Ibrahim the Master of Eighteen Thirty award, recognizing him as the competition’s top coach.
In the spirit of sportsmanship, MPL was awarded the Fair Play Team accolade, while Joozan received the Fair Player trophy for her exemplary conduct on the court.
With this latest triumph, DSC has not only secured silverware but also cemented its legacy as a powerhouse in women’s futsal in the Maldives.
