A Bangladeshi man has been arrested for alleged involvement in the illicit cigarette trade.
MD Saddam Hossain, 32, was stopped by patrol officers in Hulhumale' who found a large number of cigarette packs, tobacco, cigarette filters and rolling paper.
Police also seized MVR 53,000 in cash and a box used to roll tobacco. They said further investigations were underway.
