Fuel Supply Maldives (FSM) has been ordered to reinstate two employees and compensate them for dismissing them in violation of the Employment Act.
The Employment Tribunal ordered the reinstatement of Mohamed Amjad and Hussain Shiraz Moosa. The are also to be compensated with more than MVR 100,000.
The tribunal ruled that both Shiraz and Amjad were dismissed without establishing objective justice and procedural justice.
The tribunal ordered to reinstate Shiraz and provide a compensation of MVR 116,150 for six months salary. FSM must also pay MVR 20,000 to his lawyer.
In Amjad's case, the tribunal ordered his reinstatement and a compensation of MVR 132,450 along with MVR 20,000 to his lawyer.
The tribunal said the order must be implemented within 60 days.
