Muizzu and Modi meet on the sidelines of SCO Summit

President Mohamed Muizzu and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has met on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.

In a post on X, Modi said the development relationship between the Maldives and India is beneficial to the people of India.

Neither Muizzu nor the President's Office have commented about the meeting.

Modi visited the Maldives as the guest of honour for the Independence Day marked on July 26.

Muizzu is currently in China to attend the SCO Summit. Earlier on Sunday, he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
