Former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated three projects completed by the Faafu Magoodhoo council.
At a ceremony in the island on Sunday night, Solih inaugurated the official jetty, license track and the visitors' shelter.
The council spent more than MVR 600,000 on the visitors' shelter or Dhathuruveringe Hiyaa while more than MVR 100,000 was spent on the official jetty and walkway. The council also spent MVR 200,000 to build the license track.
The council is also spending on a library, a computer lab and other facilities for the island school.
During Solih's administration, water and sewage works, an outdoor volleyball court and a children's park were developed in Magoodhoo.
He also began the Magoodhoo airport project which has been suspended since President Mohamed Muizzu assumed office.
