Male' Maldives: Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort will make history by hosting their first-ever football camp in the Maldives led by international football icon Michael Owen.
The Camp, scheduled from 20–24 October 2025, the event promises a unique glimpse of professional training, friendly activities, and exclusive experiences with the former Ballon d’Or winner and Talisman.
Young footballers aged Over 4 years and under 15, staying at the Avani+Fares resort will enjoy complimentary coaching sessions on the resort’s scenic pitch.
The program will cover key skills such as ball control, passing, tactical play, and teamwork – all under the guidance of Owen, whose illustrious career includes stints at Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Manchester United.

Guests staying at the resort between 20–24 October 2025 can enjoy full access to the football camp at no extra charge. As part of its CSR initiative, Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort is also working to include local children in the camp, aiming to broaden access and create more opportunities for young Maldivian talent.
The camp concludes on 24 October with a celebratory event where young participants will receive medals, certificates, and signed memorabilia, marking their once-in-a-lifetime experience with one of football’s greats.
The event is part of the resort’s broader commitment to family-focused travel. While children immerse themselves in football, Avani+ Fares offers a wide range of activities for all ages.
