Indian High Commissioner G. Balasubramaniam paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel on Monday.

The meeting was held at the Foreign Ministry in Male'. Khaleel congratulated Balasubramaniam on presenting his credentials to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

They exchanged views on fostering the positive momentum in the Maldives-India partnership and explored avenues to strengthen ties.

Balasubramaniam replaces former Indian High Commissioner Munu Mahawar who was appointed on November 10, 2021.
