Immigration Controller Mohamed Shamaan Waheed has said that a group of foreigners who were involved in a fight at the Artificial Beach on Friday night are being deported.

In a post on X, Shamaan said the police had handed over three people involved in the fight to Immigration.

"Police have handed over three foreigners to Immigration in connection with a fight at the Artificial Beach area yesterday. They are all being deported," he wrote.

The fight took place early on Friday night. Videos of the incident had circulated on social media platforms.

One video shows a foreigner threatening and shoving a bystander who was recording the scene on his phone.

Shamaan said foreigners would not be allowed to act in a way that threatens the public interest.

"We will not give a second chance to foreigners who commit such acts that endanger the public interest," he warned.

A similar fight was reported between foreigners at the Artificial Beach in December 2024. One man was deported at the time.
