Mohamed Saeed, the Managing Director of the state-owned Public Service Media (PSM), has resigned.
Adhadhu has confirmed Saeed's resignation, but neither PSM nor the The Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) has released an official statement on the matter. Saeed has also been unresponsive to calls.
Saeed was appointed to the role on August 25, following the resignation of his predecessor, Zeena Zahir.
Saeed has held several key positions within the state, with his longest tenure in the education sector. He served as the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education during the Yameen administration and later worked with the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) and the People’s National Congress (PNC) during last year's presidential election.
