Several political appointments have been made after Wednesday's rushed constitutional amendments in the Parliament.
Adhadhu has so far confirmed that three people from Thinadhoo Dhekunu constituency were hired for political jobs.
They include Hassan Reehan Rasheed who was appointed Deputy CEO of Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital and Ayyash Abdul Samad who was appointed Deputy Minister of Fisheries.
Rasaan Rasheed was also given a political position, but Adhadhu has not yet been able to confirm his designation.
Rasaan and Ayyash have family ties with Thinadhoo Dhekunu MP Mohamed Alsan Ahmed.
Alsan has posted photos of the three new appointees on Facebook and many people have been congratulating them.
The government has still not disclosed the total number of political appointees.
But on October 15, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu announced that 228 political employees would be laid off in order to cut costs.
On November 1, President's Office Spokesperson Heena Waleed said 248 employees had been laid off before October 31 as part of the government's economic reform agenda.
However, the government continues to hide the total number of political employees and has not provided any details of the dismissed political employees.
The state's expenditure on political employees is increasing day by day, while the number of political appointees has increased dramatically after President Muizzu assumed office.
Figures gathered from different sources show that his government created over 2,280 political jobs and MVR 40 million is spent on their salaries and allowances each month.
