President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Ambassadors to India and Saudi Arabia.

Aishath Azeema was appointed the Ambassador to India and Ahmed Sareer was appointed the Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.

Azeema has previously served as First Secretary and Minister Counselor of the High Commission of Maldives in India.

She has also served as Additional Secretary, Director and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Sareer has previously served as the Ambassador to the United States and Bangladesh. He joined the Foreign Ministry in 1986.

Before he was appointed Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Sareer held a position at the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
