Immigration has stopped three foreigners who attempted to enter the country by using fake passports.
Immigration said they were detained at Velana International Airport (VIA). The authority did not disclose their countries of origin.
The suspects were a 21-year-old, a 23-year-old and a 25-year-old. They were arrested by Immigration on different days.
The 25-year-old arrived on July 31 while the 23-year-old was arrested on August 16 and the 21-year-old man was arrested on August 18.
