Fenaka Managing Director Muaz Mohamed Rasheed has said the delay in providing information to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is due to missing documents.

ACC members told the Parliament's Public Accounts Committee on Monday that the biggest challenge in investigating Fenaka was the delay in getting information.

"We wanted to get information from Fenaka. For instance, we requested information in April, but we haven't received the information to date," ACC President Adam Shamil said.

In a post on X, Fenaka MD Muaz said the current management of the state-owned utility company would not withhold information.

"The delay in retrieving the old documents is because the documents have been lost," he stated.

The current management of Fenaka has accused the previous management of mismanaging the company and causing losses.

Fenaka's debt stands at MVR 4 billion and ACC members told the Parliament Committee that they received complaints connected to the company.
