The government has decided to submit a total of 37 bills during the first session in the first year of the 20th People’s Majlis.
With complete support for the government from 79 MPs in Parliament, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu previously said that a total of 200 bills will be submitted during the government’s five-year term.
“Including such bills and many other such things, the assistance of Majlis is needed to pass more than 200 amendments and bills in order to fulfil all these pledges in the whole manifesto,” he said at the time.
A list of bills to be submitted during the current session has now been sent to the Majlis.
