A postmortem will be conducted on a man found dead inside a house in Male's Bandeyri Koshi on Monday, police have said.
The man found dead was Hammad Saeed, 30, from Gaaf Dhaal Hoadedhdhoo, Adhadhu has learned.
Police decided to conduct an autopsy to determine Hammad's cause of death due to suspicious matters, a police official told Adhadhu.
The case of Hammad's death is under investigation, police said last night.
Hammad's body was discovered after police conducted a search based on information received by the authorities, Spokesperson Ahmed Shifan said in a message sent to the media at 5:30 pm on Monday.
The house where the body was found had been vacant, police confirmed.
The body was taken out around 7:30 pm. A forensic team continued working inside the closed-off house last night.
