Foreign Minister Zameer makes official visit to Qatar

Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer is visiting Qatar on an official visit, the Foreign Ministry has said.

During his visit from May 11 to May 13, Zameer will hold high-level talks with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani to strengthen bilateral relations.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Maldives and Qatar.

In addition to meeting the Prime Minister, Zameer will also meet senior officials of the Qatari government to discuss opportunities to enhance cooperation in various fields, the Foreign Ministry said.

Zameer was accompanied by Bilateral Secretary Dr. Hala Hameed, Ambassador at Large Dr. Fazeel Najeeb and Assistant Director Lamha Saleem.
