Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has started land reclamation and coastal protection works in Addu.
In a post on X, Infrastructure Minister Abdulla Muthalib said MVR 180 million is estimated as the cost of land reclamation and coastal protection project in Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo.
Under the project, 11.7 hectares of land will be reclaimed in Hulhudhoo and 20.6 hectares of land will be reclaimed in two islands of Meedhoo.
Muthalib said two five-hectare islands will also be reclaimed with coastal protection as part of project.
