Shauna appointed as Board Director of ORRAA

Former Environment Minister Aminath Shauna has been appointed as the Board Director of the Ocean Risk and Resilience Action Alliance (ORRAA).

The ORRAA is an international organization that works "to drive investment into coastal and ocean natural capital, to positively impact the resilience of people in coastal areas around the world."

The ORRAA aims to invest USD 500 million in such areas by 2030.

The organization congratulated Shauna on her appointment as Board Director. The ORRAA also recognized her service to environmental causes in recent years.

Shauna served as Maldives' Minister of Climate Change and Technology from 2021 to 2023 and served as the Policy Secretary at the President's Office from 2018 to 2021.
