Manta Air's first international flight landed at Dhaalu Airport in Kudahuvadhoo on Friday.

The direct flight from India's Bengaluru began its trip on Friday morning marking the beginning of Manta Air's international operations.

The airline is working to operate three flights a week from Bengaluru to Dhaalu Airport starting in March. The flights will be operated on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays from Bengaluru to Kudahuvadhoo and from Kudahuvadhoo to Bengaluru.

Manta Air is also working to launch flights between Maldives and Sri Lanka. The airline which began operations five years ago, runs scheduled flights to Kudahuvadhoo and Dharavandhoo. The airline also operates seaplane flights to resorts.
