The Male' city council on Monday invited complaints over parking slots leased from the roads of Male' for four-wheeled vehicles.
The announcement by the Male' city council urged the public to submit any complaints about the parking slots before February 5.
The city council also asked recipients of parking slots who either had not responded to confirmation messages or proceeded to sign agreements to notify the council.
The city council leased several parking slots to four-wheeled vehicles from roads in Male'. The council faced criticism and disapproval from the public since the first announcement for the leases amid extreme congestion and space constraints in Male'.
Parking spaces were last leased from roadsides during President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's tenure as mayor. A controversial case of pavement space leased for two-wheeled vehicles also surfaced in recent days.
