China Community party senior official visits Maldives

Vice Minister Sun Haiyan was received at the Velana International Airport (VIA) by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sheryna Abdul Samad.

Vice Minister of the International Department of the Chinese Communist Party Sun Haiyan has arrived in the Maldives on an official visit.

She is visiting the Maldives on an official visit from 21 to 23 January at the invitation of Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer.

Vice Minister Sun Haiyan was received at the Velana International Airport (VIA) by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sheryna Abdul Samad.

During her visit, Sun will pay courtesy calls on President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Parliament Speaker Mohamed Aslam and Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer.

According to the Foreign Ministry, she will also attend a donation ceremony on January 22 hosted by the Alif Dhaal Mahibadhoo Council.

Her visit follows a state visit to China by President Muizzu and a high-level government delegation earlier this month.
