The government made an announcement on Tuesday seeking four members for a board to be formed to advise President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and address the hopes and aspirations of youth in formulating policies.
The President decided to form the "Presidential Youth Advisors" board on December 25 after cabinet deliberations on a paper presented by the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts.
The application deadline is 2 pm on January 8, the Youth Ministry announced. Interested youth could apply via this link, according to the announcement gazetted by the Youth Ministry.
Members of NGOs or persons active in civil society in the fields of arts, crafts and youth empowerment are eligible to apply for the board. Both male and female members would be selected, according to the announcement.
The eligibility criteria include being a Maldivian between 18 to 30 years of age who has not been convicted of a crime in the past years and possesses relevant expertise and experience in the field that he or she would represent.
