President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu did not meet any Turkish businessmen during his official visit to Türkiye in November, the President's Office has revealed.
In response to a query by Adhadhu under the right to information law, the President's Office said Muizzu did not meet any businessmen during the trip.
Adhadhu requested details of the businesses and businessmen the President met in Türkiye. Some social media reports claimed he had met several businessmen.
On his first official visit since assuming office, Muizzu met President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and signed a trade agreement with Türkiye.
The visit to Türkiye is the beginning of a golden chapter between the two countries, Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer later said.
