The government has not yet requested to stop the operations of the helicopters and Dornier aircraft by the Indian troops in Maldives.

The removal of Indian troops from Maldivian territory is President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's key pledge. But his government has yet to provide adequate information on the measures taken to achieve that pledge.

During a press conference at the President's Office today, Adhadhu questioned whether the government had requested to stop operating the helicopters and Dornier aircraft.

President's Office Spokesperson Mohamed Shaheeb simply responded that such a request had not been made.

"There are numbers that vary. We can disclose to the press after evaluating the documents. This information is being exchanged between the relevant government agencies," Shaheeb explained.

The government initially announced that there were 77 Indian military personnel in the Maldives. But President Muizzu later revealed the government had uncertainties over the exact figure.

According to the latest figure by the President's Office, there are 89 Indian military personnel in the Maldives.
