Islamic Minister Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed met with senior leaders of Jamiyyathul Salaf on Wednesday.
The meeting was organized at Salaf’s request, the Islamic Ministry said. Fruitful discussions on the ministry and Salaf working together took place at the meeting, the ministry said.
The importance of the ministry and Salaf working together was discussed at the meeting, Salaf also said, adding that the meeting facilitated establishing good relations between the ministry and the NGO.
Salaf’s Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohamed Ibrahim and some other senior leaders participated in the meeting. In addition to the minister, the Islamic Ministry was represented by Islamic Center Imam Sheikh Mohamed Latheef and other senior officials.
Jamiyyathul Salaf is one of the oldest associations in the country working towards raising religious awareness. The NGO was registered 17 years ago on March 12, 2006.
