Fuel Supply Maldives (FSM) has shut down the company's petrol shed near President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's residence Maafannu Dhimyaath.
An FSM media official confirmed the petrol shed's closure to Adhadhu. It was closed for major renovations, the official said.
The shed, located near Dhimyaath and the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), stopped selling petrol and diesel last Wednesday.
President Muizzu continues to reside in Dhimyaath as repair and construction work is ongoing at the President's official residence Muleeage.

Adhadhu has learned that a decision has been made to permanently close the petrol shed, which is almost adjacent to the Dhimyaath building. But FSM has not confirmed the decision.
The President and the first family were previously expected to move to Muleeage on December 15. But President's Office Communications Minister Ibrahim Khaleel said last week that an exact date for the relocation is unknown.
