Nolhivaram MP Mohamed Nasheed Abdulla (Mosta) has introduced a bill to amend the Immigration law to ban Israeli passports and ban Israeli tourists from entering Maldives.

In a post on X, the MP said the purpose of the bill is to condemn Israel's genocide in Palestine and call for an end to the massacre.

Arab countries and some countries of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) have taken various measures to ban the entry of individuals on Israeli passports, he said.

He stated that the Maldives should follow the example of those countries. If the bill is passed, Israeli passports will be banned when the bill is ratified.
