Customs has seized 2.2 kg of party drugs smuggled into Maldives through courier service.
According to customs, the drugs were recovered on September 16 during a search of a parcel brought from Germany.
A powder suspected to be narcotics was found inside the parcel and tested positive for MDMA - a type of party drug.
Customs said the drugs have now been handed over to police. Police are conducting further investigation.
No arrests have been made in connection with the drugs.
