Death penalty bill cannot be submitted to current Majlis session

Attorney General Ahmed Usham announced that the bill to implement the death penalty will not be submitted during the current Majlis session. Despite President Muizzu's earlier goal, the bill requires further legal and religious review. It is now expected to be introduced in the second session of the year once drafting is finalized.
