"Rasmale' deal does not violate the Constitution"
Attorney General Ahmed Usham confirmed that the preliminary agreement to grant 500 hectares of Rasmalé to a UAE firm is constitutional, despite recommending several modifications. While the project was initially pledged for Maldivians, the deal allows the developer to sell properties under a recurring 99-year lease structure.
