Police spokesperson removed from post
Assistant Commissioner Ahmed Shifan has been removed as the Maldives Police Service spokesperson following allegations of corruption and misconduct. He is replaced by Superintendent Ahmed Arif. Shifan was also briefly appointed to and then removed from two other leadership roles within a single hour.
