Parliament Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla left for Saudi Arabia on Monday (January 19) on an official visit.

According to the parliament Secretariat, he was visiting at the invitation of the Speaker of the Saudi Legislative Assembly, the Shura Council.

Abdul Raheem is scheduled to conclude the visit on January 24.

He is accompanied by Hulhudhoo MP Mohamed Shahid, Maafushi MP Hussain Riza Adam, Fuvahmulah Central MP Ali Fazad and Villingili MP Azim Abdul Aziz.

Last week, Abdul Raheem paid an official visit to India to attend the 28th Commonwealth Speakers Conference.
