Universal Enterprises has donated USD 100,000 to neighboring Sri Lanka to provide assistance to families affected by Cyclone Ditwah.

The financial assistance was handed over to the Sri Lankan High Commission in the Maldives.

The death toll from Cyclone Ditwah has risen to more than 600 as rescue efforts are being hindered by more bad weather and rainfall.

The Maldives government donated USD 50,000 and 25,000 cases of tuna cans to help the recovery efforts.
