State Trading Organization (STO) and Makita has celebrated the 25th anniversary of their partnership.

The ceremony on Thursday was graced by Japanese Ambassador Ishigami Rumiko. STO Managing Director Shimad Ibrahim and Makita's Director and Corporate Officer Omote Takashi also attended the ceremony.

New Makita tools were introduced at the ceremony and participants were able to go to a special experience zone to check out the tools.

Speaking at the ceremony, both Omote Takashi and Ishigami Rumiko noted the positive changes in the Maldives' construction industry due to the partnership between STO and Makita.

Ishigami Rumiko also spoke about the positive changes in the relationship between Japan and Maldives.

A plaque was presented to frequent customers who have maintained a close relationship with STO Makita.

These include MACL, HDC, STELCO, MPL, MTCC, MNDF, Universal, Hawks Pvt Ltd, Alia Constructions and SJ Constructions.
