A 64-year-old woman has died after being hit by a motorcycle while walking to Laamu Kadhdhoo airport.

In a message sent to the media, police said the woman died while undergoing treatment at Laamu Gan Hospital.

The accident occurred when two women were on the pedestrian crossing to Kadhdhoo airport. The motorcycle was travelling from Fonadhoo to Gan.

All three individuals, including the motorcyclist, were taken to the hospital. The accident was reported at 7:18 pm on Friday.

Police said further investigations were underway.
