The authorities have decided to deport four foreign nationals who were arrested in Male' on Monday with 511 bottles of alcohol.

They were identified as Muthmagesh Murgan, 32, Devaraj Jebraj, 42 and Zenith Francis, 38, from India and Abdul Mannan, 37, of Bangladesh.

They were arrested on suspicion of wide-scale alcohol trade in Male'. Police found 500 ml bottles and a large amount of cash.

The Counter Narcotics Intelligence and Drug Enforcement jointly conducted the operation during which they also seized equipment believed to be used to manufacture alcohol.
