The Maldives government has condemned the continued genocidal aggression carried out by Israeli forces against innocent civilians in Gaza.
In a statement, the government called on the international community to take immediate action to hold Israel accountable.
"The Maldives reiterates its unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine, based on the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its Capital," the statement read.
On Sunday, Israel intensified its attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023. More than 100 Palestinians were killed yesterday alone.
In a post on X, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu condemned the Israeli attacks and called on the international community to take action.
More than 53,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since October 2023, while the number of people wounded in Israeli attacks is estimated at 120,000.
