Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has signed an agreement with Liverpool FC to make Visit Maldives the club's official tourism partner.
"Get ready to experience the perfect blend of tropical paradise and world-class football, creating unforgettable moments for fans around the globe!" a post on X stated.
According to MMPRC, the partnership will be officially unveiled on April 2 during the Liverpool FC match against Everton, displayed prominently on the Anfield Stadium LED boards.
MMPRC stated that the collaboration is projected to bring over 100,000 additional tourists to the Maldives in 2025, generating an estimate of more than USD 100 million in tourism revenue.
"Football and travel bring people together, creating unforgettable moments. Through this partnership, we aim to inspire millions of fans to experience the Maldives – a destination where dreams become reality,” said MMPRC CEO and MD of Visit Maldives, Ibrahim Shiuree.

To celebrate the launch of the partnership, Liverpool fans will have the chance to win a five-night trip to the Maldives, including flights and accommodation, through a MyLFC competition.
Liverpool FC stated that fans will have the opportunity to enjoy exclusive content, special promotions, and competitions with ‘money-can’t-buy’ prizes throughout the partnership.
