Police have rescued a man who jumped into the sea from a bridge between Hulhumale' Phase 1 and Phase 2.

A source told Adhadhu that the man jumped early today. Police have not released any official information about the incident.

A video of the incident shows two traffic policemen trying to rescue the man in the sea.

In a message to the media, police said they received a report about the man at 5:42 am. Police said the incident occurred near the Hithigas Road bridge.

The man was rescued and taken to the Hulhumale' Hospital. Citing hospital officials, police said the man was in stable condition.
