The ruling People’s National Congress (PNC) has sacked Zeenaz Adnan and appointed Muaz Haleem to the post of iSecretary General.

The change comes amid reports of party membership fraud to increase the number of PNC members.

Muaz confirmed to Adhadhu that he had taken over the post of PNC Secretary General.

According to the PNC Constitution, the party's Secretary General should be appointed by the Members' Assembly. This is the executive body of the party.

The Secretary General should run the party's administration and is also a member of the Members' Assembly.

Zeenaz was appointed as the PNC Secretary General on May 24, 2024.
