Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB)'s Apply Now portal has won an international award.

The portal won the Most Innovative Digital Onboarding Rollout award at the Global FinTech Innovation Awards in Mumbai.

Apply Now portal won the award from IBS Intelligence after competing with many major banks in the Middle East and Asia.

Some features of the Apply Now portal

• Only portal which offers instant account opening services in Maldives.
• Can request to access all the services provided by MIB.
• Has the ability to verify customers through the digital identity card eFaas
• Allows businesses to open accounts without visiting MIB branches

With the help of the database of the Economic Ministry, MIB is providing a secure and modern service similar to most developed countries.

MIB PR Officer Ahsan Jameel said the Apply Now portal is a 100 percent Maldivian product and that the award has showed the talents of Maldivians to the world.

Apart from the portal, MIB is also introducing new digital options to Maldives with the help of modern tools. This includes a ring that can replace cash cards.
