The Housing Development Corporation's (HDC) Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ahmed Sham has resigned after the management pressured him to quit.
Adhadhu understands that Sham resigned after the HDC management pressured him on several occasions.
HDC could not be reached for comment on the matter.
The current administration has added a large number of new employees to HDC, while long-serving employees are being forced to quit.
Sham, who joined HDC in 2019, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Greenwich, UK.
Sham, who has been working in the government and private sectors since 2003, previously held the position of Associate General Manager of the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).
He also served as the Head of Accounts and Finance of the Maldives Hajj Corporation.
