Rear Admiral Jeromy Williams, Commander of US Special Operations Command Pacific, has visited Maldives.

During the visit, Commander Rear Admiral Jeromy met with senior leaders of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).

MNDF said discussions were held to strengthen relations between the US Navy and the MNDF. They discussed cooperation in areas of mutual interest, MNDF added.

Rear Admiral Jeromy has held senior positions in the US Navy since 1993. He holds a master's degree in National Security and Strategic Studies and was appointed Commander of US Special Operations Command Pacific on July 19, 2022.

Prior to that, Admiral Jeromy served as Joint Staff J-3 Deputy Director for Special Operations and Counterterrorism.
